Electric Gas Coolers

Removing any moisture from the gas is an important step in sample gas conditioning. To achieve this, suitable coolers are applied to reduce the gas temperature below the dew point in order to condense the moisture. To secure a reproducible analysis result the dew point must remain as stable as possible even when the ambient temperature fluctuates. The required cooling capacity depends on the temperature fluctuations at the sampling site (which may vary over the course of the year), the specific material combination for the heat exchanger to meet the sample gas composition and the energy-efficient operation of the cooler. Application specific different types of coolers and/or precoolers may be required. The coolers are primarily electric gas coolers, either semi-conductor or compressor coolers, the selection determined by the requirements or the operating conditions. Replaceable heat exchangers in a variety of material compositions and helpful accessories and monitors complete the product portfolio, including for EX zones.

Application

Gas Cooler Series TC-Mini
A compact Peltier cooler, preferably for installation in portable or small gas conditioning systems. One gas path with plug-in heat exchanger, 24 V DC power supply. In spite of the compact size it has a high capacity and is therefore also suitable for warm climates.
Gas Cooler Series TC-Standard
Base unit in a powerful series of Peltier coolers with one or two gas paths. Plug-in heat exchanger in various materials for optimum adaptation to the operating conditions. Available with 24 V DC, 115 V AC or 230 V AC power supply. Extensive range of direct-mount accessories.
Gas Cooler Series TC-Standard+
Powerful Peltier cooler for one gas path with optimised heat exchangers for critical applications in emission monitoring. Available with 24 V DC, 115 V or 230 V AC power supply. Extensive range of direct-mount accessories.
Gas Cooler Series TC-MIDI
The high-performer amongst the Peltier coolers with one or two gas paths and plug-in heat exchangers available in a variety of materials. Available with 115 V AC or 230 V AC power supply. The large range of accessories allows removing the cooler for simple applications to turn into a stand-alone gas conditioning station.
Gas Cooler Series TC-Double
This power-optimised Peltier cooler with two cooling systems and two plug-in heat exchangers is designed to condition sample gas more efficiently. Available with 115 V AC or 230 V AC power supply. Extensive range of direct-mount accessories.
Gas Cooler Series TC-Double+
This Peltier cooler version combines the double cooling system of the TC-Double with special heat exchangers. This reduces the wash-out effect of water-soluble gas components to a tolerable minimum, and the cooler is suitable for so-called automated measuring systems (AMS) according to EN 15267-3 requirements. Available with 115 V AC or 230 V AC power supply. Extensive range of direct-mount accessories.

The RC 1.1 is a compressor sample gas cooler for up to 2 gas paths and is an essential component for sophisticated analysis systems.

Gas cooler series RC 1.2+
The RC 1.2+ series features a new generation heat exchangers with a particularly low wash out effect of water-soluble components and are specifically suitable for measuring emissions. Most notably, the washout of SO2 is low. These coolers can therefore be used for so-called automated measuring systems (AMS) per EN 15267-3.

The EGK 1 Ex2 is ATEX and IECEx approved and is suitable for operation in explosive zones with up to 2 gas paths.
Sample Gas Cooler EGK 1/2
At certain operating parameters and ambient conditions, compressor cooling systems are more powerful and efficient gas cooling options. The EGK 1/2 was designed as a pure add-on unit and features a block, cooled by the Bühler constant control system, with a heat exchanger cavity. The plug-in heat exchangers are available in various materials. Available with 115 V AC or 230 V AC power supply.
Sample Gas Cooler EGK 1SD
Compact compressor cooler with constant cooling system for wall-mounting or desktop operation. One or two gas paths, plug-in heat exchanger, in glass, PVDF or stainless steel. Available with 115 V AC or 230 V AC power supply.
Sample Gas Cooler EGK 2-19
Compact 19" compressor cooling unit with up to two gas paths and integrated particle filters and peristaltic pumps for draining condensate. The particle filters can optionally be equipped with moisture detectors. This forms an easy to install sample gas conditioning system with high dew point stability.
Sample Gas Cooler EGK 2-19+
Compact 19" compressor cooling unit with one gas path and two special heat exchangers connected in series. This reduces the wash-out effect of water-soluble gas components to a tolerable minimum, and the cooler is suitable for so-called automated measuring systems (AMS) according to EN 15267-3 requirements. Available with 115 V AC or 230 V AC power supply. Integrated particle filter and peristaltic pumps for draining condensate. Moisture detectors upon request.
Sample Gas Cooler EGK 2A Ex
ATEX and GOST approved compressor cooler for use in explosive areas. Cooling block with two cavities for plug-in heat exchangers with up to four gas paths. Available with 115 V AC or 230 V AC power supply.
Sample Gas Cooler EGK 4S
Compressor cooler with constant cooling system for wall-mounting or desktop operation. Cooling block with four cavities for plug-in heat exchangers in various materials. The cooler comes as a standard with up to four gas paths, up to eight gas paths upon request. Available with 115 V AC or 230 V AC power supply.
Sample Gas Cooler EGK 10
Compressor cooler with constant system for high flow rates. Glass coated stainless steel or plain stainless steel plug-in heat exchangers are optional. The cooler is prepared for desk-top operation ready only. Available with 115 V AC or 230 V AC power supply.
