Sample Gas Probes

Sample gas probes form a critical point between process and analysis system. They extract sample gas from the process stream and supply it to the analysis system. They should already remove undesirable particulates at the sampling point and avoid cold spots thus preventing false measurements. Our probes are easy to maintain without requiring a lot of tools. Their designs are suitable for critical ambient conditions such as explosive areas and provide weather protection.

  • What are Sample Gas Probes?

    Sample Gas Probes are critical interfaces between the process and the analysis system. Depending on the application conditions, they can already represent the first stage of the gas conditioning system.

  • What does the selection of a suitable sample gas probe depend on?

    A fundamental criterion for selecting a sample gas probe is the level of solid contamination at the sampling point, such as dust and coarse particles. Depending on the contamination level, the sampling filter is positioned either inside or outside the process stream. It must then be determined whether the sampling point should be heated or unheated. In addition, the environmental conditions at the sampling location must be assessed and, if necessary, appropriate protective measures must be taken into account.

  • Are Bühler Technologies sample gas probes maintenance-friendly?

    Yes, maintenance of the pumps is simple and can be carried out without the use of special tools. The back-purgeable pumps in the product range are maintenance-free over long service intervals.
