Efficient Gas Conditioning – Plug & Play for Your Emission Control

Efficient Gas Conditioning – Plug & Play for Your Emission Control

30 November 2025

For monitoring gaseous emissions or processes in various industrial sectors, extractive gas analysis is the appropriate method. To comply with set limits or efficient process parameters, a partial flow (sample gas) is taken at a suitable point and prepared so that the often valuable measuring cells are protected without falsifying the measurement result.

Based on years of application data with individual system solutions, Bühler Technologies increasingly offers standardized conditioning stages. These include all relevant components for reliable preparation of the sample gas before entering the measuring cells of the gas analyzers, practically as a plug-and-play solution for a large part of known applications.

These ready-to-connect systems are offered in two basic designs:

  •  The SCS series as compact 19" rack modules
  • The MSCP series in open plate design

Both designs include the complete gas path with filters, sample gas pumps, coolers, and control and monitoring valves or connections. In addition, the units are electrically wired and functional. Despite the compact design, all components are easily accessible for maintenance. In the SCS series, all relevant operating elements are arranged on the front panel.

For combustion plants requiring approval according to the 13th BImSchV (LCPD 2001/80/EC) and 17th BImSchV (WID 2000/76/EU) as well as plants under the 27th BImSchV and partly also TA Luft, emission monitoring systems must be equipped according to EN 14181. To ensure this is done according to uniform EU standards, the monitoring systems are checked and approved according to the approval criteria of EN 15267. For these applications, Bühler Technologies also offers ready-to-connect systems. These come in a steel cabinet and comply with at least protection class IP 40 according to EN 60529.
