Particle monitor now with IO-Link interface

Monitoring the current particulate contamination in the operating fluid is an important factor in condition monitoring in hydraulic and lubrication systems. The level of contamination is determined in cleanliness classes according to the international standard ISO 4406 and should be stabilised in a predetermined class range through qualified filtration.
With the BPM particle monitors from Bühler Technologies, Ratingen, the cleanliness class is monitored on-line or temporarily, depending on the operating requirements.
The BPM devices with an IO-Link interface are particularly suitable for on-line monitoring. Sensors and actuators exchange data with an automation system via this digital communication protocol in accordance with IEC 61131-9, which is now widely used in fluid technology automation.
The BPM monitors thus immediately indicate any wear events with increased particle production in real time and enable rapid intervention long before the event could lead to consequential damage and/or a shutdown.
The Bühler BMP monitors are available with or without display, whereby the devices with display are particularly recommended for temporary measurements.
